Tools for Citation 00/10
We selected a few projects for the Open Call, “Tools for Citation”, that resonated with the theme or felt like a great way to highlight how we work. :)
An online publishing platform for collaborative and speculative essays on the design discipline, preservation, and representation in museums as of 2020. Inspired by grassroots publishing and platforms such as Google Docs or Etherpad, Object and Image seeks a balance between spontaneous collaborative writing and online publishing.
An interactive code of conduct for the Design Academy Eindhoven. The website acts as a handbook for the school community, augmented with definitions, chapter navigation, and an interactive list of common keywords.
An experimental editorial approach for the twenty-eighth edition of the annual publication Graphisme en France, published by the CNAP. Each section of the book was formatted using a different editing tool or software to mirror the theme: graphic design, tools, and research.
An online repository for the project manual.vision by the artist, writer, and researcher Ana María Gómez López. The webpage presents her research on ocular germination through a series of image and text-based instructions.
For two days, we set up our office at the PROGRAM/ME gallery, turning the launch of our website into a performance. The design and programming were live-streamed, letting viewers and passersby spy on the different sets of our working process.
An exhibition for Non-Extractive Architecture designed as an “open-door design studio,” where the public could witness the research process from the residency program. The modular exhibition space allowed ongoing development and reorganixation of research. Using the Exhibition Format Editor, an A3 paper grid was gradually filled and printed on-site to cover the walls of Palazzo delle Zattere before and during the exhibition.
An interactive installation as a gentle act of anarchy against online tracking procedures. One-Tailed critiques these practices by mimicking human cursor actions using the movements of fish in a tank. These fish movements are misinterpreted as human activity, generating false data for web operators.
A website for Conditions of a Necessity, a creative program uniting graduating students during the pandemic. The website features exhibitions, research, and other works from these gatherings.
An online radio website for *Duuu, a radio dedicated to contemporary creation. The tabular-structured website functions as an archive with three different navigation modes.
